Hi again Amin. I was going to shoot you an email but your “contact me” is out of order. We were discussing how to use WebCompAnalyst to get good longtail keywords. In my site

I can’t find anything more than 1000 searches that I can rank well for. I know foreclosure is a very competitive niche, but still… I know that Jon says to take into account all links, including ones leading to the home page and that really adds up. I agree with you totally, better to have lots of one page sites that actually make a little money, i have just done a post on my blog on how easy it is to use amazon to create an online store, a few mouse clicks and you can choose how many pages and what items you want in you store, just put a link to it and you have another income stream

@ Chris. First, congratulations because you’ve made some money – now it’s time to make the process more efficient and faster. You’ve done better than maybe 90% or more of people would do. Most people, sadly, buy information and then never lift a finger. You’ve taken action and you got some results and I applaud you for sticking in there. That’s how you build up to bigger figures.

@ Ruben. Thanks for stopping by. Glad to have you here!

@ John.I use the Google keyword tool (free) and WebCompAnalyst ($67). Both are worth every penny. But I’m suprised at your results because often searches at the 1,000 a month level are relatively low competition. I normally look for 2 or 3,000 searches plus. More is better, up to a point. I’d be interested in discussing what you’re doing to get ranking privately, if you wish. I just got page 1 position 4 ranking for a keyword with 8,100 searches a month, but low competition so it’s not that difficult.

@ Stan. I agree with you. Keep some momentum going. A set it and forget it site is nice, but a little push on the accelerator now and again never hurts. And making sure you recycle your traffic is a good thing, too.

@ Nathan. Interesting that you jumped right in on that single word. And how right you are. We can all trade 8 hours’ labor for 8 hour’s pay, but that’s called a job. When we find ways to ‘automate’ processes we multiply our efforts. I’ve put up a couple of sites today quite easily, because I invested time to make it easy to do so. That time will repay itself over and over.

Great article. I’m going to print it out and add it to my “mindset” file folder.

After reading it a couple of times, one word really jumped out at me that makes this technique so very powerful: systematized.

Once you’ve worked through the process, as you have now, you can turn on an additional $25 a month income any time you want. What could be better in these troubling times?

The trick I think is in keeping the momentum going, whilst building another momentum via articles and suidoo.

Hi Amin, I’m using WebCompAnalyst myself, and I’m wondering how low I can go. By this I mean, how few searches for keyword(s) can I go and still have enough traffic to make it worthwhile. A lot of people say 1000 or more searches/month minimum (per keywords), but with some topics I can’t rate in the top ten on Google with over 1000. I am looking for keywords with at least 3 words in them. I find my keywords using a combination of Wordtracker and Keyword Elite.
What do you use for your own keyword searches? (Where do you get your keywords and where do you draw the line?)
