			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve just finished putting together a pack of PLR articles in the health niche, specifically about high cholesterol. <p>PLR is one of the easiest ways to get good content for your websites and blogs because, essentially, you&#8217;re sharing the cost of having it written with other buyers.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve had an American MD write 8 of the articles in the pack, although you can&#8217;t use his name for contractual reasons. These are solid, well written, informative articles that you can use on your blog or website, to create a report, in your autoresponder sequences &#8211; almost anywhere, in fact.</p>
<p>And at just $17 it&#8217;s a lot cheaper than having them written yourself. I know because I&#8217;ve just spent $262.22 on having them written!</p>

<p>When you&#8217;ve written a great article with a killer headline there are a few things left to do to get the most benefit.</p>
<p>Arguably the most important part of your article &#8211; or certainly the second most important part after the headline &#8211; is your signature, or resource box. You want to get people to your site. That&#8217;s kind of the whole point of your article, for most people.</p>
<p>To make sure your resource box gets read you have to <span id="more-153"></span>make it interesting. Offering something extra that your reader wants is one way of doing that. It could be more information, a free report, an e-course. As long as it&#8217;s something that naturally follows on from your article it&#8217;s likely to make them curious.</p>
<p>So offer them something that makes them want to visit your site immediately.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t make it hard work for them. I&#8217;d recommend you keep the resource box between 3 and 6 lines. And make them count. In general a lot of blurb about yourself is less interesting to your reader than it is to you. I don&#8217;t mean to be rude, but most people don&#8217;t care too much if you have a special interest in lace-making, they just care how they can solve their own problem! So give them what&#8217;s important to them.</p>
<p>Example?</p>
<blockquote><p>Learn how you can get bumped from coach to First Class when you fly; visit&#8230;..</p></blockquote>
<p>I don&#8217;t actually know how you can do that, but if I read an article that promised to tell me how to do it I&#8217;d certainly be interested. Which passenger wouldn&#8217;t? You could include a little bit of relevant bio if it&#8217;s done right, but don&#8217;t waste their time with unnecessary detail.</p>
<p>Another example?</p>
<blockquote><p>Airline pilot of 25 years shows how you can get bumped from coach to First Class when you fly; read how at&#8230;..</p></blockquote>
<p>That&#8217;s relevant bio information. Can I show an example that maybe isn&#8217;t so good?</p>
<blockquote><p>John Noname is a respected author with over 20 years of experience. He writes on a variety of topics, including airline travel. Sign up to his newsletter at&#8230;</p></blockquote>
<p>Sorry, but that doesn&#8217;t offer me enough to be bothered clicking through. What&#8217;s the benefit to me? I get to be on his newsletter? That&#8217;s his benefit, not mine.</p>
<p>My own early articles in the self-improvement field didn&#8217;t do very well on clickthrough, largely because my resource box was too much like the example shown! I know from personal experience that nobody really cares about my 20+ years&#8217; experience in the self-help and self-improvement field.</p>
<p>As soon as I switched to telling people about the benefits <strong>they</strong> can receive, results changed. I don&#8217;t even mention my name now &#8211; nobody seems to care what I&#8217;m called. If my name were Tony Robbins then I might make a feature of it, but for most of us who aren&#8217;t that famous it probably doesn&#8217;t hurt to leave it out. Certainly, you don&#8217;t need to make it a big feature.</p>
<p>One other thing you can do, if you are submitting your article to several different sites, is to write a different resource box for each site. Knowing which type of resource box works for your particular niche is a good way of maximizing your returns, but you can only do that if you test different resource boxes. You might even want to have them point to a different landing page, so you get absolute figures.</p>
<p>Naturally, when you find out which type of resource box works best you use it more often. Your clickthrough rates could shoot through the roof if you test, test, test. Don&#8217;t forget that your <a href="http://www.sublime-products.com/articles/tips-for-writing-a-better-article-bum-marketing-part-9/" target="_blank">keyword research</a> will tell you the types of &#8216;anchor text&#8217; you should be using in your resource box, so you should be able to come up with several different resource boxes if you do your research.</p>

<p>An article on your hard disk is worth nothing. An article on a single website is usually worth a bit more, but not that much. An article on hundreds of sites, all pointing to your money site, now that&#8217;s worth something.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;ve written an article you can submit them to the article sites in the normal way, but you can also allow other people to put them on their sites. You may want to take some time to look around for good quality sites, and then offer to let them use your articles on their site together with your byline. When you add your article to other peoples&#8217; sites you&#8217;re getting free advertising on quality sites in your niche.  Not every site will take an article, of course, but you&#8217;ll never know unless you try and you might be surprised how many webmasters are happy to take quality content.<span id="more-143"></span></p>
<p>This will also help get you listed in the search engines because you will have a one-way link and in most cases you can control the &#8216;anchor text&#8217; used. That means you can use a highly targeted keyword phrase to point to your site.  It&#8217;s one of the finest ways to get good rankings for a particular search phrase and that&#8217;s a powerful way to make money.  Just be sure to check out the sites you&#8217;re contacting to see if they have a high rank and are listed in the search engines. Plenty of hits don&#8217;t hurt, either!</p>
<p>For you and the other site owner this is a win-win situation. They get quality content and you get free 1 way backlinks. If you spend some time every day looking for quality sites to offer your articles to it won&#8217;t be long before you&#8217;ll get traffic from their site and from the search engines. Your site will rise in the search engine ranks as your links grow. Getting a first page position on Google isn&#8217;t impossible, but it does take a little work. The more effort you put into this technique the better you can do.</p>
<p>1 way backlinks are actually a vital part of any good SEO campaign. Unfortunately Google has an annoying habit of constantly changing how they rank websites. So, these days, it&#8217;s critical to get high quality, 1-way links to your website. As well as writing articles, blog commenting and social networking there are link services which can make the process easier.</p>
<p>Reciprocal linking used to be a popular &#8211; and successful &#8211; technique to get rankings, but reciprocal linking isn&#8217;t anywhere near as effective as it once was. If you&#8217;re like most people the problem is that it&#8217;s hard to figure out how to get enough 1 way links without doing a huge amount of work. Jon Leger has introduced a tool that solves the problem.</p>
<p>1WayLinks is an SEO tool that helps you generate up to 750 (yes, 750!) 1 way links to your websites every month. The links can go to inner pages, home pages, subdomains, even directly to affiliate promotion links. Using the links to spread some &#8216;juice&#8217; around the various pages of your sites is a great way to increase your overall site positioning. There&#8217;s even a way to deal with any potential duplicate content issues.</p>
<p>With 1WayLinks you can spin your post by creating a few variations. The system will multiply the variations into dozens of unique posts for you. Depending on how much effort you put into the spinning process you can have 100% unique content on every blog that picks up the post. That&#8217;s a great way to maximize the benefits of your efforts.</p>
<p>Does 1WayLinks work? Simple answer, yes. I&#8217;ve seen my own linked pages climb the search engine rankings after using 1WayLinks. You just have to be sure to:</p>
<ul>
<li> Target the right keywords, such as the long tail keywords. Primary keywords like GOLF are going to be too hard to compete with</li>
<li>Spin your post and make sure you benefit from lots of unique versions of your post</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t go mad and post all 750 links to 1 site in one go. It looks reall spammy</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t repeat the exact same links 3 times in your post. You&#8217;ll just be wasting some of the link juice.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The hardest part of bum marketing is keyword selection.</strong></p>
<p>Why is it so hard?</p>
<p>Well, actually, some people have an instinct for it and find it easy, but for most of us it&#8217;s work. The traditional advice &#8211; and it&#8217;s good advice &#8211; is to search for a hungry marketplace first and then look for a product you can sell into that marketplace. If you have hungry buyers then promoting a product should make you more money.</p>
<p>Great. Except that&#8217;s hard to do for most people. That&#8217;s because the steps go something like this:<span id="more-104"></span></p>
<ol>
<li>Think of a niche you&#8217;d like to be involved in</li>
<li>Think up a list of of keywords related to that niche</li>
<li>For each keyword, check how many times it gets searched</li>
<li>Check how much competition each keyword has by doing a Google search</li>
<li>Check the top 10 websites returned by Google for that keyword</li>
<li>Analyze the onpage SEO and linking strategies of those websites</li>
<li>Go back to 3 until you&#8217;ve finished all the keywords</li>
<li>Now check all the keywords related to your original list of keywords and start back at 3</li>
<li>If you have time, eat something, take a headache pill and continue</li>
<li>Discard any keywords/niches that have too much competition, not enough competition(!), not enough search volume, or has no hungry market wanting to buy</li>
</ol>
<p>The list is bigger than that, but 10 items are enough to give you the idea!</p>
<blockquote><p>So how can you avoid some of that work?</p></blockquote>
<p>I recommend that you sign up to Clickbank and take some time looking through their marketplace. Decide what subjects you would like to write about. Then find a couple of great products with affiliate programs to promote in your resource box at the end of the article.</p>
<p>Clickbank will give you all kinds of information about how popular the product is. You don&#8217;t have to do all that exhausting traditional keyword research just to find a product to promote. You only need to do a fairly small amount of research.</p>
<blockquote><p>Next, you spend a little time looking for keywords to use in your articles by using the free tools listed below.</p></blockquote>
<p>This is not the exhausting analysis you have to do the traditional way. This is picking out between 5 and 10 keywords that relate directly to the product you&#8217;re going to promote. You already know the niche and the product, so it&#8217;s a lot easier and faster. And the really good products to promote often give you ready made keyword lists as a starting point.</p>
<p>Notice I said starting point. <strong>Everybody</strong> is going to get that keyword list so how much competition do you think you&#8217;ll have if you use it without doing any work? You&#8217;ll have tons of competition.</p>
<p>What you&#8217;re looking for is a list of keywords that have reasonable search volume, but not too much competition. Reasonable search volume can be as low as 30 searches a day. That&#8217;s still potentially 1,000 visitors a month for you. Multiply that by the 5 or 10 keywords you choose and you&#8217;ve got potentially 10,000 visitors a month. Even with a lousy ratio of buyers to visitors you&#8217;re likely to make some sales with that kind of volume.</p>
<p>The exact number you&#8217;ll need for &#8216;reasonable&#8217; search volume will depend on what you&#8217;re trying to achieve, what you&#8217;re promoting and the niche you&#8217;re in. But as a general rule you will face much more competition for keywords with very high search volume. Everybody is after a slice of that pie.</p>
<p>Keyword Building Tools</p>
<p>Here is a list of resources for finding great keywords:</p>

<p>It will give you estimated daily search counts in the top search engines, a link to the Google trends for the keyword, links to the competition results on the search engines. As the first place to start looking it&#8217;s a great resource. There&#8217;s so much information on the page that you might not even know where to start looking. Just click and experiment. You&#8217;ll easily pick up how it works.</p>
<p>Google Suggest &#8211; what can I say about this? It&#8217;s just very cool. As you start typing it will come up with a drop-down list of words that fit what you&#8217;ve typed so far. Type weig for example and you&#8217;ll get keywords relating to weight loss. Not only that, but you&#8217;ll get the number of search results for each keyword. That&#8217;s your competition figure right there!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&amp;hl=en" target="_blank">Google Suggest</a></p>
<p>Top word is a free tool that analyzes a complete web page and gives you a count of the key words and keyword phrases. It is also great for analyzing your meta tag descriptions, keywords and title tags. This tool is great for checking your optimization so you can make changes to your page that need to be made.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s actually meant for checking your web pages so you can improve them. But there&#8217;s nothing stopping you from analysing your competition to get some ideas about what they&#8217;ve done!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;ve ever heard of article marketing (and most people have) you&#8217;ll know it&#8217;s a great way to make money. Not overnight, but steadily and with increasing strength as time goes on.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll also know that churning out article after article can be exhausting &#8211; especially if you&#8217;re involved in several niches.</p>
<p>Well I&#8217;ve been using a tool that virtually writes the articles for you. Of course I have an advantage here because I&#8217;ve been speaking to the developer every day for many weeks about it.</p>
<p>That tool is Instant Article Wizard Pro 2.0 and the developer is Jon Leger. I&#8217;m pleased to say that several of my suggestions have gone into the product and I&#8217;m very pleased to say that it&#8217;s every bit as good as the current hype surrounding it.</p>
<p>In fact, it&#8217;s so good I thought I&#8217;d let my son have a go with it. He&#8217;s 13 and his favorite pastime is to watch comedy on tv &#8211; all day. He keeps away from the computer at all costs, if work is involved.</p>
<p>Well, I gave him twenty minutes instruction on how to use IAW Pro 2.0 and how to look for topics and then left him alone for an hour. He ended up creating 3 very respectable blogs posts for a specific niche. So good, in fact, that he&#8217;s started the blog now and in about 4 days Google have picked up 3 pages in their index.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s now working on writing a report for the niche that he intends to sell from his blog. He&#8217;s using IAW Pro 2.0 to do it.</p>
<p>3 blog posts doesn&#8217;t sound like much. But this is a 13 year old boy who&#8217;s thinking about food, girls, computer games and everything else he can. Anything, in fact, that doesn&#8217;t involve sitting at a computer &#8216;working&#8217;.</p>
<p>And if he can do it, so can you.</p>
<p>As he continues to work with the application he&#8217;s picking up speed. I have no doubt his next three blog posts will take a lot less than an hour (that includes the time to post to the blog and format the text).</p>
<p>What could you achieve if you were able to make 40 separate blog posts every day, without fail? Do you think you might be able to generate some money?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yup, sure is. Wednesday is always a quiet day.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s why I&#8217;ve decided to use Wednesday to <span id="more-39"></span>do all my planning. Since it&#8217;s a quiet time of the week with fewer sales, fewer customer service issues, fewer distractions, it makes sense to use that quiet time to plan what&#8217;s happening for the following week.</p>
<p>After all, as they say in the cliche, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. So good planning is important and so is finding the time to do it right.</p>
<p>It does seem strange to me that Wednesday is so universally quiet (perhaps not universally, but certainly everywhere I have contact with). It&#8217;s almost like a day that&#8217;s been designed for a bit of catch-up and forward planning.</p>
<p>Do you plan your week ahead? I&#8217;m thinking now especially of people who may be part time in internet marketing and have a day job. It&#8217;s hard to find time sometimes, but I&#8217;ll bet you could slot in a couple of hours more easily on a Wednesday than most of the rest of the week.</p>
<p>What should you plan? Well, something I would strongly recommend is article submissions. Writing quality articles and submitting them regularly is an activity that will continue to bring you traffic long after you&#8217;ve written the article. Why not plan a sequence of articles for the following month?</p>
<p>You could write one or two articles every Wednesday. Over time you&#8217;ll see traffic coming from the articles. You should see which one does best and then examine it carefully to see what makes it better than the others. Learn from what you do by taking the time to analyze the results.</p>
<p>When is a good time to analyze results? When you have some quiet time &#8211; Wednesday sounds like a good day.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a good time, too, to see what emails you&#8217;ve been sent with new offers. You&#8217;re bound to get a batch of them early in the week as people look to make a sale to you. There&#8217;s a lot of good instruction in those emails.</p>
<p>Pull out the ones that having wanting to click on the links to look for more information. Those are the ones that have obviously worked. If you study their style, you&#8217;ll start to see a pattern after a while and if you adopt some of the techniques you notice you might find your own sales pitches picking up more customers. If you haven&#8217;t yet got a list to pitch to you&#8217;ll still learn valuable techniques for motivating people to click on a link.</p>
<p>And that is worth its weight in gold.</p>
<p>Wednesday is a quiet day, but you can get so much out of it I think you&#8217;ll find it becomes your favorite day.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s a provocative question: does article marketing really work?</p>
<p>Based on my own results with article marketing, my answer is a resounding yes and I&#8217;ll tell you why .<span id="more-36"></span></p>
<p>But before I do, let me say that the results I&#8217;m about to share with you are for another of my websites, <a href="www.easiest-weight-loss-ever.com?phpMyAdmin=f3044fa39c0113e6235a246d6f26d18a" title="Weight Loss Support System" target="_blank">www.easiest-weight-loss-ever.com</a></p>
<p>That&#8217;s a pretty new domain, been live about 3 months now.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve done some article marketing and it&#8217;s now a Google page rank 3 with an Alexa rating of  465,74 at the time of posting this.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s really pleasing is that I only started the first articles about two months ago and in total I&#8217;ve only written 9 articles linking back to that site.</p>
<p>The usual advice for anyone contemplating using articles to gain exposure is to write at least one article a day. If I&#8217;d done that I would have had about 60 articles out there. Imagine the results I would have had from that. I currently have well over 300 backlinks pointing to my weight loss site. If I&#8217;d had 6 times as many articles out there there&#8217;s a fair chance I would now have thousands of backlinks.</p>
<p>And that number will continue to grow over time.</p>
<p>So for me article marketing is a clear success. There&#8217;s no money involved and it does work.</p>
<p>The catch is that you have to make an effort. And I&#8217;ve lost count of the number of beginners I&#8217;ve seen who view the idea of doing some work as utterly repulsive. They&#8217;re usually the ones who don&#8217;t make any money.</p>
<p>My friend and occasional business partner Kevin Koop has written an excellent  report on the benefits of article marketing and I&#8217;ve learned a great deal from it. He even tells you how to get some useful statistics about your site&#8217;s backlinks, for free.</p>
