I’ve just received an e-mail from a marketer whose products I buy on a regular basis.

His products are software tools which are of value for Internet marketers. If the page is still there I would certainly recommend that you pick up a copy at this discounted price, particularly because version 4 is due to be released fairly soon and Frank’s usual tactic is to give free upgrades, or at the very least to give an extremely heavily discounted price for the upgrade. Version 4 will have full membership capabilities, which meansyou can use it for selling on eBay, running a shopping cart,protecting your digital downloads, running a physical product (CD/DVD) business and running a recurring income membership site. To call it full-featured is an understatement.

I seem to collect software scripts like most people collect collectable items and I have probably five or six membership scripts, which range in price from free to over $1000. Frank’s membership script is one I have been looking forward to, but I had no idea what sort of features would be in it. Well, he’s now let the cat out of the bag by mentioning that he is already using the script himself on a particular membership site he runs. I am a member of that site so now I know how it operates. Having seen it in action and used it as a member I’m excited at the prospect of getting my hands on the script.

For anyone who is thinking about running an online business, whether you intend to sell digital products, physical CD/DVDs, or memberships, Smart DD V4 will be an exciting script to help you do it more easily and efficiently. I’d strongly recommend you get hold of a copy of it, even if you have to pay full price for it. And if you can get hold of a copy of Version 3 at the discounted price of just $27 it’s a steal. It might already have sold out, but ~~take a look here~~, just in case it hasn’t.

By the way, there’s an upsell one-time-offer after you buy. He’s offering Ticket Deskpro and Adspurt for $20. I have both them of them (you can see TicketDesk Pro in action at my support desk) and I’d recommend getting them while they’re cheap, too. Adspurt in particular is a clever way to make more money by automatically linking to keywords in your site. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog it’s ideal for monetizing content you might otherwise not make a penny on. If you use any kind of auto-building on your blogs (I may have an announcement on that myself in the next few days) it’s ideal for adding to your revenue easily, quickly and on auto-pilot. If I sound like a fan of Frank’s products, it’s because I am. I’ve paid real money for them and I use them myself, so I know how they work.

And they do work!

P.S. By the time this is published there’s a serious chance that the 50 discounted copies will be sold out, but I thought I’m mention it just in case anyone gets chance to pick one up. Use Your Blog Content In Multiple Places

If you have a blog that’s installed in a folder on your site, and you add valuable content to it regularly, you may want to use some of that content in different places on your site.

For example, on your home page you could have the latest entries appearing – or some of the oldest if you wanted to breathe a bit of new life into posts that you wrote some time ago.

Of course if you install your blog directly into the root of your domain this doesn’t really apply to you because your posts will show up there anyway.

But if you have your blog elsewhere it’s a great way to freshen up your home page every time you make a new post. I’ve just added that to my own home page and it works a treat. I had to do a little reading up on it to find out how to do it and found this page quite helpful: corvidworks.com

You can see the effect on my home page. I’ve set the display to show 3 excerpts with links to the full post. If you wanted you could put the full post, but it seems more sensible to me to give a taste of the post and then let the user decide whether to read more.

It’s not limited to the home page. You can display blog entries on any of the pages on your site, so if you focus on a particular topic you can point your visitors to other, pertinent information.

And last, but not least, there’s a definite SEO benefit to having regular fresh content on your home page. If you use the excerpt facility well and pull in a couple or three of your latest posts your page(s) will always look interesting

2CO Easy Setup

I just created my 2CO account – since they’re offering to pay back the setup fee it’s a real no-brainer and it opens up some extra options so it’s a good move.

It took literally a few minutes to do. I’d say it’s a pretty smooth signup process for anyone.

There are about 11 hours left so if you’re thinking of getting a 2CO payment processor account now is an excellent time to do so.

Just be careful to choose a currency other than US dollars and make sure you pay by Visa or Mastercard – if you choose other options you won’t get a refund.

And you can sell in whatever currency you like – you’re not limited to your signup currency.

Link Cloaking

Many people are trying to earn a living, or make a little extra money only, with affiliate marketing.

One of the things that can make it tough is that there are people out there who seem to delight in ’stealing’ your affiliate commission if they can. For various reasons as soon as some people see that a link is an affiliate link they delight in trying to prevent the affiliate from getting paid.

There are ways to make this harder for the digital thieves, but sometimes those ways can be harder for you, too. And if a security system isn’t easy to use you probably won’t use it.

I’ve bought many link cloakers in my time and ended up never using most of them because they’re so difficult to use. Eventually, I actually learned how to create a cloaked link in php and started doing them myself.

Which would you rather use?

There’s another benefit, which anyone who’s been promoting affiliate products for a while will recognize. Say you’re promoting a book on golfing tips. What do you do if that site ever goes out of business? You have to change all your links in your advertising and websites.

But if you cloak the link to a page on your own site, you can change that page as many times as you like. So if you ever need to send your visitors to a different golf affiliate program they’ll still visit the same page on your site.

Think about that for a moment.

Your visitors will visit the same page on your website, even if you decide to switch affiliate programs! That’s an invaluable benefit. It means you get to control where your visitors go for a particular topic.

Don’t underestimate the usefulness of that facility – it can make you a lot of money over the years.

Blog Rush – What’s all the fuss?

Unless you’ve been hiding out recently, you’ll have heard all about the fever surrounding people as they fall over themselves to promote a new service called Blog Rush.

It’s an easy and effective way to promote your blog and get some traffic. You just drop a small piece of code into your sidebar and a widget appears that has links to other, related blogs. In turn, your blog will appear on a similar widget somewhere, once for every time you show a widget on your blog page.

Inevitably there have been some problems. Most services with such rapid takeup have a few teething troubles and this is no different. My take on this is that in a few weeks time it will be a fairly solid little service. I’ve signed up already – no sense hanging about when it’s a free account anyway.

Created by the renowned John Reese, Blog Rush is set to re-circulate a lot of the traffic that is currently wasted on blogs. When a visitor moves away from your blog, why not encourage them to move to another site that gives you some credit for the traffic?
