How nice to be thanked for doing a good job.
I recently had the pleasure of installing a site for a lady called Vera. Very charming person who just needed some help with the technical aspects of installation.
Well, the whole thing went smoothly. Vera needed a tiny bit of help a day later and I answered her question via email. It wasn’t any big deal and there certainly wasn’t any charge for a simple reply.
However, Vera insisted on paying me something extra for the extra help. I knew - because I’d installed her site - that her special upsell item actually went to charity. So I asked her to donate something in my name to her favourite charity.
She was delighted to do so and so was I.
I helped her out, she wanted to reward me and I in turn helped her to help her favourite charity.
Sometimes, this job is more than just a pleasure.
