Right now, around the world, many millions of people are looking to the future and wondering how to make it better and brighter. Many will have tremendous hope that, this time, they’ll succeed. Whether it’s losing weight, stopping smoking, getting fitter, or making more money online, nearly everyone will follow the same pattern. Goal setting will be done with solemn promises of keeping it up this time.

The initial few days will be full of enthusiasm. Then the cold reality of how much effort is required will start to sink in. Little by little disillusionment will take over. And then, before February comes around, the vast majority of people will have given up. Less than 4 weeks into 2009 their hopes and dreams will fade.

Will that happen to you?

I sincerely hope not. Because everything you dream of for yourself is possible, but you have to work for it and you have to keep working for it. No matter how many gurus promise you dreams of thousands of dollars without working, deep down you know there has to be some work somewhere.

You don’t always have to work hard. Just make sure you work smart.
